Introducing the Haslingden Squash Club

The Haslingden Squash Club is friendly and informal and is open to all squash players regardless of ability or experience.
It exists to enable players to play other club members and get good squash playing experience.

We run training sessions for all standards, club nights, a box league and we currently have 3 teams in the North West Counties league. It doesn't matter if you're a total beginner or have been playing for years, the club is open and useful to all players, and players of all standards are currently included in the membership.

The club runs a box league system, with several divisions of 5 players, so each player has 4 league games to play every calendar month.
July and December are set aside as 'challenge months' where any player can challenge any other player higher up in the league. If a challenge is successful, then the challenger jumps up the table to be above the opponent.

Joining the club is easy. You can get a form
here, fill it in and email it to

The membership fee is £12 per year payable by direct debit either £1 per month or £12 per year each August. The bank details are on the joining form.

Joining the club gives you access to our training sessions and all club events as well as the contact list for other club members.

The Haslingden Squash Club and associated box league is open to players of any ability, age or background. The only requirement is enthusiasm.

If you join the box league, your name will be in the league at the beginning of the next calander month.
The club also runs 3 teams for more experienced players which compete with other teams in East Lancs and North Manchester. If this is of interest to you, please contact us.

Note the following rules for claiming a match :
All players should make every effort to arrange matches well in advance of the end of the month. It is expected that players mutually agree on a Match Claimed outcome. However, if the players cannot agree then the following rules apply
1) If any player has made at least two offers of court times to another player, and the opponent has made no attempt to offer alternatives and has at least 7 days in which to do so, the first player may inform the second player that they are claiming the match.
2) A player can claim a match where their opponent hasn’t shown up for a game and didn’t inform the player that they will be a ‘no show’.
3) If a player has to cancel an arranged match then they must inform their opponent at least 2 days beforehand, otherwise the opponent can claim the match if they wish.
4) If a player cancels an arranged match within the last week of the month then the opponent is entitled to claim the match.
5) Any disputes regarding Match Claiming should be referred to the committee whose decision is final
